With the controversy over Rahul Gandhi's comments on Indian democracy in London continuing to rage, BJP chief JP Nadda launched an attack on the Congress leader.

Nadda on 17 March 2023 said, "Rahul Gandhi, you said on foreign soil that democracy has perished in India and that Europe and USA should interfere in this matter. What can be more shameful than this?"

"After repeatedly being rejected by the public, Rahul Gandhi has become a permanent part of this anti-India toolkit," he added.
