Nearly a month after violence gripped Nuh in Haryana, the district is on the edge once again.

Security measures have been increased after Hindu organisations including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that a 'shobha yatra' would be taken out in the area despite the denial of permission from authorities.

On the morning of August 28, police said that only local residents and workers were being allowed entry into Nuh, while outsiders were being turned away.

Nuh SP Kuldeep Singh said, "Police have done security preparations to prevent untoward incidents. Everything is peaceful, as you can see. It's a high-level issue. Maybe permission has not been given. Everything is peaceful."
