Police fired tear gas shells in Manipur's Imphal after women protesting over sexual assault video burnt tyres and blocked roads in the Ghari area on Saturday.

The Manipur armed police, Army and rapid action battalion were rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control prompting them to take action on demonstrators. Following the operation, a flag march too was conducted in several areas to ensure law and order is maintained.
