In a direct reply to Rahul Gandhi's 'Ravana' jibe, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10 said that the Congress leader was right when he said that Hanuman did not burn Lanka.

While speaking on the no-confidence motion against the BJP govt, Rahul Gandhi on August 9 had said that Hanuman did not burn Lanka, Ravana's arrogance did.

The No-Trust motion comes with the backdrop of recent ehtnic violence in Manipur. Opposition MPs previously said that the purpose of the motion was to elicit a statement from the Prime Minister on the issue.

The Modi government is now in its second term, with opposition parties forming the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) to prevent the ruling BJP-led NDA from coming to power for a third term under him.
