Villagers of Ganjigere in Karnataka have reportedly returned 'gifts' given to them by local BJP leader during the wee hours of May 10, the day of voting for assembly elections.

According to Indian Express, BJP candidate KC Narayan Gowda left sarees and chicken on the doorstep of the villagers but villagers reportedly refused to be lured by the freebies and dumped them outside his door.

The report also adds that according to some villagers, the locals only returned the sarees and chicken after a Congress leader questioned them.
