Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren arrived at the state Assembly in Ranchi to participate in the floor test of Champai Soren-led government.
A special court had allowed Hemant Soren to participate in floor test. Other legislators also arrived at the state Assembly building.
MLAs of the ruling alliance led by JMM returned to Ranchi from Hyderabad last evening. They exuded confidence in winning the vote of confidence.
However, Biranchi Narayan, Chief Whip of the BJP, had said the coalition was set to lose.
Soren was arrested by the ED on January 31 in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam.
He was remanded to ED custody for five days by the court on February 2.
Hemant Soren had filed a petition before the special PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court, seeking permission to participate in the trust vote sought by the new government.
He had pleaded before the court that he is a member of the assembly and has a right to participate in the special session of the House.
