Following radical preacher Amritpal Singh's surrender and then arrest in Punjab's Moga on Sunday, his family has said that despite the turn of events they are glad he surrendered like a lion.

Speaking with news agency ANI, Amritpal Singh's mother said, " We are just relieved that he surrendered at the same place where his Dastar bandi ceremony took place like a lion. We were worried, if he had given up his religious attire, like shown in some videos on internet.

A special flight carrying radical preacher Amritpal Singh landed at Dibrugarh airport on Sunday from where was taken to the Central Jail located in the Upper Assam town

Meanwhile, Singh's family has claimed that he was working for the youth of Punjab and allegations against him are all baseless, adding they would take legal aide.
