A video is doing rounds on the internet of locals in Madhya Pradesh's Shajapur giving Rahul Gandhi potatoes. As Rahul's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra convoy was passing through Shajapur, the Congress leader was greeted with 'Modi Modi' slogans and given potatoes.

India Today reported that Rahul was given potatoes and asked to turn them into gold, a reference to a doctored video of the politician that went viral in 2017.

The doctored video shows Rahul Gandhi saying that he will install a machine that can turn potatoes into gold. The video was edited from a speech made by Rahul Gandhi during the 2017 Gujarat state elections
