The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided not to announce chief ministerial candidates for the upcoming state elections in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram, NDTV said citing sources.
As per the news outlet, the party intends to rely on a "collective leadership" approach to secure victory in these polls.
The information comes a day after the saffron party announced a second list for the Madhya Pradesh poll. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has still not featured in any of the lists released by BJP.
Party sources also told NDTV, that speculations around Chouhan's removal are untrue, however added that any leader from the party could potentially become the chief minister.
