BJP released its fresh list of 11 candidates for Assam on 3rd March for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This comes after the list released a day before was found incorrect as it did not take into account the delimitation in the state.

Some seats like Mangaldai and Kaliabor in Assam that are no longer parliamentary constituencies were mentioned in the previous list.

Former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has been fielded from Dibrugarh.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi for a third time.

Thirty-four Union ministers, including heavyweights like Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh will contest from their current Gandhinagar and Lucknow seats respectively.

Jyotiraditya Scindia will contest from Guna (Madhya Pradesh), Sarbananda Sonowal from Dibrugarh (Assam), Bhupender Yadav from Alwar (Rajasthan), Rajeev Chandrashekhar from Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), V Muraleedharan from Attingal (Kerala) Parshottam Rupala from Rajkot (Gujarat) and Mansukh Mandaviya from Porbandar (Gujarat).
