PM Narendra Modi while virtually addressing the BJP's Panchayati Raj Parishad in West Bengal on Friday, criticised the ruling party in the state for using "terror and threats" to intimidate the opposition during the rural polls.

Referring to the violence PM said, the country witnessed the kind bloodshed that happened during the panchayat polls.

"TMC ne khooni khel khela hai...," PM Modi said in Hindi while addressing the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad in West Bengal via video conferencing.

Retorting to the PM's charges, the Bengal CM said, the PM is speaking without evidence, adding that he wants poor people and the country to suffer.

In a telephonic conversation with Times Now, Banerjee said, the PM seems to be deflecting from the main issue that needs to be addressed.
