The wife of Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister has filed a police case, claiming that she was being threatened by a woman named Aniksha.

Police revealed details about the case on 16 March 2023, saying that an FIR had been filed on 20 February.

Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, told police that Aniksha had been in touch with her for the past 16 months. Amruta claimed that Aniksha offered her ₹1 crore to get her father off the hook in a police case.

Amruta said that she blocked the woman's number, but Aniksha and her father started conspiring against her.
