Prime Minister Narendra Modi heads to France for AI Action Summit to France starting Monday, during which he will join French President Emmanuel Macron to co-chair the AI Action Summit. Shortly after his arrival, Modi will attend a dinner hosted by President Macron at the Elysee Palace, where several tech industry CEOs are expected to be present.
In addition to co-chairing the AI Action Summit in Paris on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron will address the India-France CEO's Forum and visit the Mazargues War Cemetery in Marseille to honor the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the First World War.
India's Ambassador to France, Sanjeev Singla, highlighted that PM Modi will inaugurate the first-ever Consulate General of India in Marseille. The Prime Minister will also tour the site of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER), a major scientific venture in which India collaborates with other international partners.
Before departing for France, PM Modi expressed his anticipation for the AI Action Summit, describing it as a platform for world leaders and global tech executives to share insights on using AI technology collaboratively for innovation and the public good.
Modi also mentioned his intention to assess the advancement of the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the strategic partnership between India and France, in collaboration with his "friend," President Macron.
