Over 5 coaches of goods train derail in Tamil Nadu, railway services affected

A goods train going to Chennai Harbour derailed near Chengalpattu in Tamil Nadu around 10:30 pm on 10th December.

More than 5 coaches of the train derailed.

The train was carrying iron-related rods. According to railway officials, the movement of passenger trains from South Tamil Nadu towards Chennai was affected.

Following the incident, officials started working to clear the track and regulate the train movements.
