A man in Hyderabad's Attapur area reportedly narrowly escaped a lightning strike on July 24. A video of the incident is going viral on social media.

The CCTV video tweeted by DD Andhra Pradesh shows a man coming out of his house and crossing the narrow road while it is raining. After a few seconds, he goes back into the house, narrowly escaping the lightning moments later.

An orange flash fills the screen as the lightning strikes.

Hyderabad saw waterlogging and disruption of road connectivity following the downpour on July 24. Several instances of lightning strikes were reported from the city.

A minaret of a Qutub Shahi-era mosque was also damaged due to lightning.
