A routine vehicle check in Delhi’s Connaught Place turned dangerous for a police officer, who was tossed in the air after an SUV rammed into him. Nearly sandwiched between the car and a barricade, the officer fell on the road and sustained injuries.

The incident happened after midnight on Tuesday last week. Reports say it happened in the outer circle of Connaught Place. Surveillance footage of the incident shows that the speeding SUV hit another vehicle that had slowed down at the checkpost.

The police officer had reportedly injured one of his legs and head. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and has now been discharged, NDTV reported.
