Yet another train derailment occurred in Odisha, 3 days after a devastating triple train crash. The latest incident took place on June 5, 2023, in Mendhapali in Bargarh district.
Some wagons of a goods train operated by a private cement company derailed inside the factory premises, officials said. No injury or casualty was reported.
East Coast Railway said that the private company maintains all the infrastructure including rolling stock, engines, wagons, and train tracks on the narrow-gauge siding.
