A case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder has been filed against the dean and another doctor of Dr Shankarao Chavan Government Medical College and Hospital in Nanded after a woman and her newborn child died.
This is the same hospital that reported over 35 deaths in a span of four days. The deceased woman's father said that the infant died a day after birth, while her daughter passed away two days later.
The family was told by the doctors that the woman died of excessive bleeding while the child due to contaminated water in her mouth.
