Police have arrested two ‘tantriks,’ who allegedly sacrificed a man after he sought their help to earn more money. The accused had reportedly sedated the 22-year-old with sleeping pills before killing him.
Madhya Pradesh police officers found the man’s mutilated remains in a field. He reportedly had sharp cuts on his head and neck.
The two accused were recognised as 40-year-old Surendra Kachi and 45-year-old Rammu Kachi. The duo had previously helped the victim, identified as Ankit Kaurav, when he got sick. They met Kaurav nearly four months ago before the incident, as per India Today.
The report added that the ‘tantriks’ had convinced the victim to cut off one of his fingers, saying it will help settle his financial burdens.
MP police have put the two accused in prison as the investigation continues. They were also presented in court.
