Modi govt bans 14 messaging apps used by terrorists: reports

In a fresh crackdown on mobile apps allegedly undermining India's security, the Narendra Modi government banned 14 messaging applications.

These apps were allegedly being used by terrorists to send and receive messages from handlers in Pakistan, as per government sources cited in news reports.

The banned apps reportedly include Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second Line, Zangi and Threema.
