Manish Sisodia, former Deputy CM of Delhi and AAP leader, filed his nomination papers on Thursday for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, aiming to represent Jangpura constituency. He visited the Kalka temple, seeking blessings and praying for guidance in his role if elected. He shared on social media: "Today, I filed my nomination from Jangpura, seeking love and blessings from the community and divine guidance."
BJP's Moti Nagar candidate Harish Khurana also filed his nomination, following a havan ceremony at his residence. He will contest against AAP's Shiv Charan Goel and Congress's Rajendra Namdhari.
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj criticized AAP's governance, claiming that Delhi residents are frustrated with unfulfilled promises and are looking for a change. "The people of Delhi want BJP, not excuses from AAP," she stated.
Delhi elections will be held on February 5, with votes counted on February 8. The final date for filing nominations is January 17, with scrutiny scheduled for January 18 and withdrawal by January 20.
