Man takes Uber auto for ₹62, gets bill over ₹7 crore

In a bizarre incident, an Uber rider in Noida was shocked to receive a bill of over ₹7 crore for ₹62 ride. This incident took place on Friday when Deepak Tenguriya booked an auto through Uber. 

He was expecting a fare of just ₹62. However, what came as a shock to him was that he received a bill of ₹7.66 crore on his Uber app. 

This incident came to light when Deepak's friend Ashish Mishra on Friday shared a video on X. In the video, Deepak and Ashish were discussing the bill that Deepak had received. 

The video showed Ashish asking Deepak, 'how much is your bill worth, show', Deepak said, '₹7,66,83,762.'

He showed his phone screen on the camera and it can be seen that Deepak was charged ₹1,67,74,647 as trip fare. His waiting time cost was  ₹5,99,09189, ₹75 was deducted as a promotion cost.

As the post went viral. Uber in response wrote, "Hey, sorry to hear about the trouble. Please allow us some time while we are looking into this issue for you. We will get back to you with an update."
