Man celebrates birthday in Delhi mall, stabbed to death by restaurant staff

A 23-year-old man, who was celebrating his birthday at a restaurant in a mall in Delhi was stabbed to death by the staff. The incident took place in the Pitampura area on Tuesday, February 20. 

The man who was stabbed to death has been identified as Jatin, a resident of Budh Vihar area. He went to celebrate his birthday with friends at Yaaran Da Adda restaurant. However, a misunderstanding with the restaurant staff caused a dispute and that led to a violent altercation. 

During the altercation, Jatin was stabbed in the chest, while two of his friends, Prashant and Varad, were also injured. 

Police said that they were alerted about this incident when a hospital reported Jatin's arrival in critical condition on Wednesday. 

A case has been registered and six people have been detained, including the restaurant owner.
