He emphasized the state’s goal to raise its contribution to national milk production from the current 9 percent to 20 percent.

As part of this mission, the state government is implementing the Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, which aims to empower cattle rearers economically. Dr. Yadav expressed confidence that the scheme would pave the way for improved livelihoods and greater self-reliance in rural areas.

To support this initiative, the government has signed an agreement with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to form milk cooperative societies in villages. “This will lead to the formation of milk cooperative societies in villages across the state, boosting milk production,” Dr. Yadav stated.

The Chief Minister also highlighted ongoing efforts to promote the Sanchi brand, along with support for cowsheds and dairy farmers. He noted that the state is working to expand the reach of milk-based and medicinal products derived from cow's milk to benefit a larger population.

Looking ahead, Dr. Yadav expressed optimism about the state’s growing potential in the dairy sector. “I am confident that Madhya Pradesh will become the Dairy Capital of the country,” he said, while extending his best wishes to all dairy farmers on World Milk Day.
