Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach every citizen.

Speaking at a programme organised at the Kalidas Academy in Ujjain, he announced a series of infrastructure projects worth ₹155 crore aimed at transforming the city ahead of the Simhastha Mahakumbh 2028.

“We are moving forward rapidly on the path of progress, taking everyone along at every step,” Dr. Yadav said while performing Bhoomi-Poojan and inaugurating eight bridges and two roads. He added that the scale of the ongoing projects is only a preview of the development to come. “This is just a glimpse — the full picture of development is yet to come,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister noted that the projects would not only ease travel for lakhs of pilgrims during the Mahakumbh but also bring long-term benefits to the residents of Ujjain. “Along with the nation, our Madhya Pradesh too is transforming. Every corner of the state is blossoming with the winds of progress,” he said.

Highlighting the role of public participation in driving state growth, Dr. Yadav said that reconstruction efforts would continue with the collective support of the people.

During the event, local women tied a grand rakhi to the Chief Minister as a gesture of appreciation. He thanked them and reiterated his government's commitment to women’s dignity and self-reliance, driven by continued innovation in welfare policies.

The Chief Minister also launched the “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Ghar Swachchata: Swatantrata Ka Utsav, Swachchata Ke Sang” campaign in anticipation of Independence Day. The campaign, running from August 2 to 15, will focus on patriotism and cleanliness, and include statewide initiatives across multiple phases.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Dr. Yadav said, “Under his guidance, the country has gained global respect and a new momentum of development.” He also cited “Operation Sindoor” as a resolute response to Pakistan and defended India’s institutions. “The legislature, judiciary, and Election Commission are strengthening democracy. Those who repeatedly question democratic values will not be tolerated by the nation,” he said.

The event was attended by MLAs Anil Jain Kaluheda and Satish Malviya, who praised Dr. Yadav’s leadership. Ujjain Mayor Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Chairperson Kalavati Yadav, other public representatives, and a large number of citizens were also present.
