MP CM Mohan Yadav to inaugurate Spiritual and Wellness Summit in Ujjain

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is celebrating 2025 as the ‘Year of Industry and Employment’.

The Chief Minister aims to boost economic growth, promote industrial development, and create extensive employment opportunities across the state.

As part of this initiative, Dr. Yadav will inaugurate the ‘Spiritual and Wellness Summit’ on Thursday, June 5, in Ujjain. Organized by the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, the summit will be held at Hotel Anjushree. During the event, Dr. Yadav will participate in a fireside chat on the theme ‘Wellness – A New Perspective’ and hold one-on-one meetings with key investors, policymakers, and wellness sector representatives.

The summit seeks to establish Madhya Pradesh as a global wellness hub and position Ujjain as an internationally recognized center for wellness. It will focus on encouraging investment and collaboration in areas such as yoga, Ayurveda, naturopathy, spirituality, public awareness, and wellness-based industries.

To further promote investment and employment, the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion will organize workshops, expos, and conclaves at national and international forums throughout the year. The Departments of Happiness, Tourism, and AYUSH are working closely to ensure the summit’s success.

Ujjain, located in the heart of India, is known as a historic spiritual city with a serene environment, abundant natural resources, and traditional medical systems, making it an ideal location for wellness initiatives. The one-day summit will bring together spiritual leaders, wellness investors, policymakers, AYUSH and health experts, as well as tourism and wellness operators.

Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain will address the main session. The Principal Secretary of the Department of Culture and Tourism will present on the “Roadmap for the Wellness Sector.” Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, will also speak at the event. A film titled “Madhya Pradesh: Rising Hub and Ujjain as the Epicenter of Wellness” will be screened.

Discussions on Key Aspects of the Wellness Sector

The summit will include high-level panel discussions focusing on wellness sector development, policy-making, public-private partnerships, sustainable infrastructure, and investment opportunities. It will open with a session titled “Ideating the Partnership Model,” where experts will explore how wellness policies can attract investments and partnerships to enhance infrastructure, improve quality standards, and expand service access, particularly in underserved areas.

Another panel will address “Wellness Ecosystem and Workforce Development,” emphasizing the integration of traditional medicine systems, the importance of research funding, and aligning these practices with modern healthcare.

This summit marks a vital step toward positioning Madhya Pradesh prominently on national and global wellness maps, advancing a strategy that combines policy, innovation, and investment in the wellness sector.
