Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has instructed all district administrations to remain on high alert in view of the ongoing heavy rainfall.

Stressing the need to safeguard both lives and property, he directed collectors, administrative officials, and police personnel to proactively prepare for any potential disasters. Officials have been told to ensure timely evacuations and deliver assistance, especially in high-risk areas.

He underscored that, “immediate relief must be provided in cases of livestock loss and damage to houses as per prescribed norms.”

All collectors have been directed to treat these responsibilities as their top priority. The instructions were issued by the Chief Minister during a video conference with collectors from across the state, held on Wednesday evening from Samatva Bhavan, CM House.

Advance Arrangements for Shravan and Festivals

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also directed officials to ensure that temple premises are well-prepared for devotees during the auspicious month of Shravan. He stressed on making proper arrangements for crowd control and convenience.

Further, he instructed that preparations for upcoming festivals such as Raksha Bandhan (August 9), Balram Jayanti (August 14), Independence Day (August 15), and Krishna Janmashtami (August 16) be carried out in advance.

Be Alert in Providing Treatment and Assistance to Accident Victims

Dr. Yadav called for the effective implementation of health-related schemes, better utilisation of air ambulance services, and provision of essential facilities at hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

He said that district hospitals should be designated for ensuring timely treatment, especially during the golden hour in critical accident cases.

Referring to the Rahveer Yojana, he reminded officials that, “citizens who promptly transport road accident victims to hospitals are eligible for a reward of Rs. 25,000.” He urged all collectors to ensure the scheme is implemented effectively and to stay alert in such situations.

Coordination with Public Representatives

The Chief Minister also directed that collectors work in coordination with in-charge ministers and public representatives to expedite the formation of development committees at the district level. He instructed the timely completion of work related to upcoming Gram Sabha meetings and Van Samiti elections, scheduled for August 15.

Additionally, Dr. Yadav stressed the importance of ensuring timely utilisation of funds allocated under the Finance Commission for essential development work.
