Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reaffirmed his government’s commitment to quality, employment-oriented education, stating that such an approach is the bedrock of a strong and progressive nation.

Addressing the state-level Guru Purnima Mahotsav at Government Kamla Nehru Sandipani School, Dr. Yadav emphasized India’s educational heritage and current development trajectory.

“Quality and employment-focused education is the foundation of a strong nation,” Dr. Yadav said. He attributed India's emergence as the world’s largest democracy to its robust education system and added that “Bharatiya wisdom illuminated many parts of the world during the era of ancient sages.”

Referring to the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, he observed that India is now witnessing a golden era under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Dr. Yadav reiterated the state’s focus on educational infrastructure, adding, “The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to providing high-quality education and all necessary facilities for a child’s bright future.”

As part of a symbolic shift in academic culture, he noted that university vice-chancellors are now being referred to as ‘Kulgurus’, stating, “A guru leads us from darkness to light.”

Sandipani Schools and Excellence Awards

Dr. Yadav praised the ongoing efforts at 369 operational Sandipani Schools across the state, where emphasis is laid on holistic development beyond traditional academics.

He announced a reward of Rs. 5 lakh each to three such schools—located in Mhow, Dewas, and Narsinghpur—for achieving 100% results and exemplary academic performance.

Marking the start of a two-day campaign under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, the Chief Minister distributed bicycles symbolically to 50 students.

On the first day, a total of 4.3 lakh bicycles were distributed across districts. The event saw students greeting Dr. Yadav warmly and ringing bicycle bells in celebration.

International Awards for Sandipani Schools in Jhabua and Ratlam

He also shared that Sandipani Schools in Jhabua and Ratlam have received international accolades. The state is ensuring student accessibility with government-run buses and free bicycles, and school uniforms will be distributed from the next academic session.

Additionally, one lakh laptops will be awarded to meritorious students scoring over 75%, and electric scooters will be provided to deserving candidates.

IIT Satellite Center in Ujjain and Boost to Medical Education

Announcing a new academic milestone, Dr. Yadav said, “An IIT Satellite Centre will soon be established in Ujjain,” aligning with the New Education Policy that is currently implemented in 55 PM Excellence Colleges.

He further highlighted the integration of medical and health departments to streamline education and healthcare delivery.

“The state will soon have 10,000 MBBS seats, and it is the only state providing comprehensive support for medical education post-NEET,” Dr. Yadav said.

He encouraged students to become job creators, especially in healthcare. “Doctors who wish to open hospitals in small towns will receive a 40% subsidy.”

Ladli Behnas to Receive Raksha Bandhan Gift

Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment. “In the Sanatan culture, women are worshipped as goddesses,” he said, announcing that on Raksha Bandhan, Rs. 1,500 will be deposited into the accounts of 1.27 crore Ladli Behnas.

He also referred to the implementation of 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies by 2029 under PM Modi’s leadership.

Cultural Highlights and New Infrastructure

Dr. Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed Government Kamla Nehru Sandipani Girls School, developed at a cost of Rs. 36 crore. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting and a floral tribute to the idol of Goddess Saraswati.
