Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Wednesday announced major development initiatives in Hatpipliya, promising to address the long-standing demands for drinking water and irrigation in the region with the blessings of Maa Narmada.

During a foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremony, Dr. Yadav laid the foundation for 20 projects worth ₹60 crore and inaugurated 65 projects valued at ₹130 crore, marking a total investment of ₹190 crore.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Indore, Dewas, Ujjain, Shajapur’s Maksi, Dhar, and Badnawar have been included in Madhya Pradesh’s metropolitan zone, which will open new opportunities for regional development. He urged farmers not to sell their land, assuring them that irrigation from Maa Narmada would transform agriculture in the area.

Dr. Yadav also shared impressive irrigation achievements, noting, “The irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh has grown from 7 lakh hectares in 2003 to 55 lakh hectares today.”

He announced that electric connections for irrigation would be provided to farmers for just ₹5. He also highlighted record wheat procurement by the state at ₹2,600 per quintal.

To boost agriculture, the government is promoting horticulture and organizing agriculture fairs across the state to encourage the use of high-yield seeds and modern farming equipment.

A major agriculture fair is scheduled to take place in Bhopal this October. For dairy farmers, those owning over 25 cows will receive a 25% subsidy to encourage cattle rearing.

Addressing the issue of stray cattle, the government is funding the construction of cow shelters with a capacity for 10,000 animals in municipal areas.

The Chief Minister also announced ₹2,250 crore approved by the cabinet for the development of the Omkareshwar pilgrimage site, alongside liquor bans in 19 religious towns including Salakanpur, Datia, Nalkheda, and Maihar.

In honor of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th birth anniversary, the state will provide ₹2 lakh financial assistance for widow remarriage, continuing her legacy of empowering citizens through local industries.

Dr. Yadav introduced the “Rahveer Yojana,” which will award ₹25,000 to individuals who assist in transporting accident victims to hospitals, emphasizing that “saving human life is our moral responsibility.”

He also highlighted initiatives to empower women economically through Self-Help Groups and announced plans for a new bus transport system to improve public mobility.

Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Army, and citizens on the success of Operation Sindoor, Dr. Yadav said, “India had given a strong message to Pakistan for disrupting the dignity of Indian women. Our army is strong and decisive.”

The Chief Minister invited residents of Hatpipliya to attend the Women Empowerment Mega Conference in Bhopal on May 31, which will be addressed by Prime Minister Modi.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister and District In-Charge Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Khandwa MP Shri Gyaneshwar Patil, Hatpipliya MLA Shri Manoj Choudhary, Dewas MLA Smt. Gayatri Raje Pawar, Sonalch MLA Dr. Rajesh Sonkar, Bagli MLA Shri Murli Bhanwra, and other dignitaries.
