May 31 will be a historic day for Madhya Pradesh as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visits Bhopal to attend the grand event ‘Lokmata Devi Ahilyuabai Mahila Sashaktikaran Mahasammelan’ at the Jamboree Ground.
The occasion marks the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar.
On this day, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and perform Bhoomi-Pujan for several key development projects. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also participate in the programme.
Women Empowerment Mahasammelan
Prime Minister Shri Modi will release a special ₹300 coin and a commemorative postage stamp in honour of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai.
As part of the celebrations, he will also present the National Devi Ahilyabai Award to a woman artist recognised for her outstanding contributions to tribal, folk, and traditional arts. Additionally, the Prime Minister will visit an exhibition showcasing Ahilyabai’s legacy in good governance, cultural contribution, and women’s empowerment.
Indore Metro Inauguration
The Prime Minister will virtually inaugurate the Super Priority Corridor of the Indore Metro—a 6-km stretch on the Yellow Line that includes five stations.
This modern mass transit system is set to enhance mobility in Indore, known as India’s cleanest city, making it more accessible and environmentally sustainable.
Virtual Inauguration of Datia and Satna Airports
In a major push to regional air connectivity, Prime Minister Shri Modi will also virtually inaugurate newly built airports in Datia and Satna. The Datia Airport, constructed at a cost of ₹60 crore, will boost access to the pilgrimage town.
Meanwhile, the ₹37 crore Satna Airport is expected to drive growth in tourism, education, healthcare, and industry in the Vindhya region.
Namami Kshipra Project
Under preparations for Simhastha 2028, the Prime Minister will perform the virtual Bhoomi-Pujan for ghat construction along the Kshipra River. With an investment of ₹778.91 crore, this stretch of ghats will extend 29 km from Shani Mandir to Nagda Bypass.
He will also lay the foundation stone for various water conservation and river management projects worth over ₹80 crore. These include barrages, stop dams, and vented causeways across Dhar, Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, and neighbouring districts—initiatives aimed at preserving the flow of the Kshipra and Kanh rivers.
Support for Rural Governance Infrastructure
In a step towards strengthening local governance, PM Modi will initiate the transfer of the first installment for 1,271 Atal Gram Seva Sadan buildings to be constructed across the state. These new panchayat buildings, developed at a cost of ₹483 crore, will provide gram panchayats with permanent administrative infrastructure.

May 31, 2025, is expected to be a defining moment for Madhya Pradesh—combining cultural reverence with developmental milestones. The event celebrates the empowerment ideals of Devi Ahilyabai while advancing Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of progress.
“This partnership will incorporate quality, innovation and global perspective in the education system of the state and will prove helpful in preparing the youth for global competition,” the Prime Minister emphasised.
The Mahasammelan is anticipated to draw a massive crowd of around 2 lakh women from all corners of the state, symbolising collective strength and a unified stride toward a progressive future.
