Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Union Cabinet approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for 14 Kharif crops for the 2025–26 marketing season.
The decision was made during a Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Modi. Dr. Yadav termed the move a significant step toward boosting farmers’ income and supporting the agricultural economy.

Crops such as paddy, soybean, sesame (ramtil), ragi, and cotton are widely cultivated across Madhya Pradesh and are expected to benefit from the revision.
The revised MSP includes a hike of ₹820 per quintal for Ramtil (sesame), ₹596 per quintal for Ragi, and ₹589 per quintal for Cotton.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Yadav said, “The increase in MSPs will directly benefit farmers by enhancing their income and ensuring fair prices for their produce.”
He further added, “This is a farmer-centric and welfare-oriented decision, and a welcome step in the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the agricultural economy.”
