Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has described Independence Day as more than just a celebration, calling it a symbol of the nation’s identity, pride, and honour.
“It is a moment to remember sacrifices, dedication and contributions of our freedom fighters and to draw inspiration from the path they showed us,” said Dr. Yadav during a high-level review meeting on Wednesday to assess the preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations.
During the meeting, it was decided that the Chief Minister’s message will be broadcast live at all district-level programmes across Madhya Pradesh. Following the live broadcast, the chief guests at respective district events will address the public and provide updates on key schemes, development projects, investment inflow, and the state’s progress in agriculture, irrigation, and other sectors.
Dr. Yadav instructed officials to ensure that both state and district-level celebrations are organised with full enthusiasm, dignity, and broad public participation. He also emphasized the importance of conducting cultural programmes that can foster a spirit of patriotism, particularly among the youth.
Reviewing the arrangements for the state-level ceremony, the Chief Minister directed officials to focus on proper seating, security, and traffic planning. He asked them to make special provisions for freedom fighters, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and women to ensure smooth participation during the event.
Appealing to citizens to take part in the celebrations, Dr. Yadav said, “I appeal to all citizens of the state to participate in the Independence Day celebrations and spread the message of patriotism.”
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Public Health & Medical Education Shri Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development & Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Panchayat & Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel, Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, School Education & Transport Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh, Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Sanjay Kumar Shukla, and Secretary & Commissioner of Public Relations Dr. Sudam Khade, along with other senior officials.
Cabinet ministers shared suggestions for innovative approaches to enhance the dignity of both state and district-level events. Officials also presented a comprehensive overview of the preparations being made to ensure the successful conduct of the celebrations.
