Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House in New Delhi and invited him to the state.
During the courtesy visit, Dr. Yadav requested the Prime Minister to inaugurate the upcoming Kisan Sammelan (Farmers’ Conference) and launch the Bhopal Metro Train service. He also presented a bouquet to PM Modi.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the chief minister said that an environment of industrialisation was taking shape in Madhya Pradesh, with the Swadeshi campaign being actively promoted. “Our goal is to ensure the production of quality products under the Swadeshi campaign. For this, all of us need to work harder,” he said, adding that the initiative was an important step towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Dr. Yadav further said that in the past one and a quarter years, the state had witnessed a major drive for industrialisation with memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth over ₹30 lakh crore signed. These projects, he noted, were expected to generate more than 21 lakh employment opportunities.
The chief minister underlined that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the state government would continue to push for sustained development.
