Watch: leopard, which killed 3 persons, caught in cage in Chhattisgarh

A leopard, which is believed to have killed at least 3 persons in Chhattisgarh, was finally caught by the forest department on 18 January 2023 in the Janakpur area of Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur (MCB) district.

The wild cat is believed to be behind 3 deaths since December 2022. Forest officials placed 3 cages at different places. The cages had live chickens to attract the leopard.

The big cat will now be sent to a jungle safari, Loknath Patel, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), MCB district was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
