Video: 13 'sand mafia' tractors ram through Agra toll plaza, staff try to block path with sticks

As many as 13 sand-laden tractors allegedly belonging to the local sand mafia sped through a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Agra on Sunday night breaking the barricades and sticks used by the staff to stop them.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the Jajau Toll Plaza on the Agra-Gwalior Highway where the episode reportedly took place.

In the video of the incident, which has now gone viral, a tractor is seen speeding through the plaza without stopping to pay toll tax. It is followed by 12 other tractors.

The toll plaza staff can be seen attempting to stop the vehicles by blocking their path with sticks.

Taking cognisance of the incident, the local police has reportedly started an investigation.
