A female student at Uttar Pradesh's Government Homeopathic Medical College in Gazipur has been suspended over allegations of capturing objectionable photos and videos of fellow hostel mates.
According to India Today, the accused, a first-year student named Mantasha Kazmi, filmed inmates and shared the videos with a senior student, Mohammad Amir.
He, in turn, used the photos and videos to blackmail victims.
This incident came to light on August 7 when distressed students officially reported the matter to the college administration
An inquiry in the case confirmed Kazmi and Amir's involvement.
A complaint in the matter has also been filed.
