Train derailment in Rajasthan: 8 coaches off the tracks, no casualties, say reports

A train derailed in Rajasthan's Pali in the early hours of 2 January 2023.

8 coaches of the Suryanagari Express train from Bandra terminus to Jodhpur went off the tracks at around 3:27 am, as per news agency ANI.

No casualties were reported in the incident. An accident relief train was subsequently dispatched from Jodhpur, the CPRO of North Western Railway was quoted as saying by ANI.

The report added that senior officials were slated to visit the accident site. The situation was also being monitored by General Manager-North Western Railway and other officials from the control room at the headquarters in Jaipur.
