Terrorists attack non-Kashmiri labourer in J&K's Pulwama; Muneerul Islam from Bengal hospitalised

In yet another terrorist attack on civilians in Jammu & Kashmir, a non-local labourer was targeted on 2 September 2022.

Muneerul Islam, a worker from West Bengal, was shot at by terrorists in Pulwama.
The incident occurred in Ugergund area in the morning. The victim was taken to a hospital following the attack.

This is the latest in a series of terrorist attacks on civilians and non-locals in the Union Territory.

The attack also coincides with a high alert in Rajouri and Poonch. Police said that 2-3 splinter groups of terrorists are lurking in the area. Movements of the splinter terror groups are being followed and tracked. The security of vital installations in the area has been strengthened.

Police also asked people to share information regarding suspicious movement or objects with security forces for quick action.
