Supreme Court on Manipur women being molested video: 'Time for govt to act'

Following outrage over a video of two women in Manipur being stripped naked, paraded and molested, the Chief Justice of India said that the Supreme Court was "deeply disturbed".

Chief Justice DY Chandrachud on July 20 said that the incident was unacceptable and it was time for the government to step in and take action.

Chandrachud added that the video showed a gross violation of human rights in a Constitutional democracy.
