Rain fury in Uttar Pradesh: 12 dead in separate wall collapse incidents in Lucknow, Unnao

Over 10 people lost their lives as heavy rain wreaked havoc leading to seperate wall collapse incidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao and Lucknow. 

While 9 reportedly died in Lucknow on Friday, three lost their lives in Unnao last night.

Nine people, including women and children, died and one person was injured after a wall collapsed in Lucknow's Dilkusha area on Friday. Rescue operations to look for survivors are underway.

Expressing grief over the incident , Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted and asked senior officials to reach the spot.

The Chief Minister has also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and also gave instructions for proper treatment of the injured people.
