Tragedy struck the Maharashtra Bhushan event held in Navi Mumbai on 16 April 2023.
At least 11 people died with sunstroke being seen as the most likely cause. The programme was held in an open ground.
Many attendees were hospitalised, with some on ventilator support, and others discharged after treatment.
The nearest weather station recorded a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius.
