A heart-rending video has emerged from Jharigaon in Odisha. It shows a senior citizen woman walking barefoot for many kilometres with the help of a broken chair.
Surya Harijan undertakes such a journey to reach a bank and collect her pension.
The manager of the local State Bank of India branch reportedly said that she had trouble withdrawing money as her fingers were broken. He added that the problem would be resolved soon, according to the news agency ANI.
