Even as Nuh in Haryana appears to be limping back to normalcy after a bout of extreme violence, a maha-panchayat held in Palwal on August 13 may cause fresh tension.
A Hindustan Times report said that some speakers at the maha-panchayat said that "lessons need to be taught", and demanded that weapons be given to families of a particular community.
They also said that the district of Nuh, where another community is in the majority, should be dissolved.
Hundreds of Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad members reportedly attended the event.
