Manipur: minister's house attacked, civilian killed in separate incidents

Fresh violence was reported from the northeast state of Manipur on May 24, 2023.

A state minister's house was attacked, and at least one civilian died in separate incidents. Minister and BJP leader Govindas Konthoujam's house in Bishnupur was ransacked by a mob. He was not at home at the time, and no one from his family was injured, as per reports.

Meanwhile, a person was injured in firing by suspected terrorists and died later in the day. Another civilian was injured in Imphal West when some armed persons opened fire.
