In yet another brazen terror attack in Kashmir, a policeman was killed, while his daughter was injured. The attack took place in Soura area of capital city Srinagar on May 24.
The policeman was identified as Saifullah Qadri. He was shot dead outside his home. Qadri's 7-year-old daughter in being treated in a hospital.
The attack comes less than 2 weeks after another government employee, Rahul Bhat, was killed by terrorists in Chadoora. Bhat was working at the tehsil office when he was shot dead by terrorists.
The killing led to widespread protests by the Kashmiri Pandit community. Government employees belonging to the Hindu community sought transfers to safer locations, and better security facilities.
