Karnataka: teacher lashes out at students, tells them 'to go to Pakistan'

A probe has been launched against a teacher at a government school in Karnataka's Shivamogga district for her alleged communal remarks directed at Muslim students.

According to India Today, during an argument with the students, the teacher Manjula Devi allegedly told the students to 'go to Pakistan.

The issue came to public attention when several Muslim students filed a formal complaint against her.

Devi, who has been teaching Kannada at the school for more than nine years, was subsequently transferred to another location following the incident.
