Independence Day security: AI facial recognition, anti-drone tech, 10,000 cops

Security preparations for India's 77th Independence Day celebrations in Delhi include advanced technology as well as boots on the ground.

Artificial intelligence-based facial recognition systems are being used to prevent disruption by terrorist elements, as per a Hindustan Times report.

Anti-drone systems have been deployed, and CCTVs placed at strategic spots.

Additionally, over 10,000 police personnel are being deployed across the national capital. Anti-sabotage, access control, and anti-terror squads are among the teams for August 15 security.
