Encounter breaks out in Jammu-Kashmir's Shopian and Baramulla

Encounters between security forces and militants broke out in two different districts of Jammu-Kashmir on the wee hours of Friday. 

The encounters are underway in Chitragam area of Shopian and Yedipura, Pattan area of Baramulla of Kashmir valley. 

The encounters began after the security forces launched cordon and search operations in the Chitragam area in south Kashmir's Shopian and in the Yedipora area in north Kashmir's Baramulla, a police official said.

According to various news reports, security forces have gunned down one terrorists while around 2 are suspected to be hidden.
