Dense fog continues to engulf Delhi-NCR, low-visibility affects trains and flights

Dense fog continued to engulf Delhi-NCR on Saturday morning as cold wave persisted in northwestern India. 

In Delhi, Safdarjung area recorded a minimum temperature of 2.2 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 2 degrees Celsius was recorded at Lodhi Road. These are the lowest temperatures in the respective areas this season, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. 

Train and flight services to and from the national capital were impacted because of low-visibility. 

According to news agency ANI, around 34 domestic departure flights from Delhi airport were delayed due to bad weather and over 12 arrival flights are delayed at the airport from different destinations.

32 trains were reportedly running late in the Northern Railway region due to fog.
