Tension prevailed in a Delhi locality after a person died and another was injured in a violent fight between two groups. The clash took place in Ranjit Nagar on 12 October 2022, and one of those involved died on 15 October.

The death has led to protests by some residents alleging a communal angle in the crime. Rapid Action Force was deployed in the area on 16 October to prevent the law and order situation from deteriorating.

Police reportedly said that the fight occurred when Nitesh, Alok, and Monty stopped 3 people named Ufiza, Abbas, and Adnan, who were travelling on a motorcycle. Nitesh, Alok, and Monty allegedly assaulted one of the persons on the bike and he fell on the ground.
